Almost lost two fingers on a dull tablesaw blade last Tuesday

Was ripping some oak in my garage shop near Columbus and the blade caught, kicked the board back so hard it shattered a window. Has anyone else had a kickback scare that made them rethink their whole setup?

My buddy Mike had a similar thing happen with his saw last year, board came back and put a nasty dent in his drywall right next to his head. He switched to a riving knife setup the next day and hasn't had a problem since lol.

Wait, are you sure the blade was dull that caused the kickback? Usually a sharp blade is safer because it cuts clean instead of catching and throwing the wood back at you. Glad you still got all your fingers, that window must have been scary.
