Serious question, how do you handle a boss who keeps changing project goals?
Last month, my boss changed the main goal for our store's inventory project three times in two weeks. It made our team feel like we were running in circles. Has anyone found a good way to get clear direction without sounding like you're complaining?

Remember my old manager who would rewrite the entire weekly schedule after it was posted. We started taking a picture of it the second it went up and would just point to our phones when he tried to change our shifts. It didn't stop him, but at least we had proof of the original plan when our hours got messed up. Maybe try getting the project goals in an email after each meeting so you have a paper trail to refer back to.

Ever think about why some bosses keep doing this even after they get called out? Honestly, it feels like a power move more than bad planning. They want to see if you'll just roll over when they change things. Having that proof is key, but it's also about showing you won't just accept the new story. Tbh, it's exhausting to always be on guard like that.
