Got passed over for a promotion I earned in Chicago last month

I've been at this logistics company for 3 years now, top performer every quarter. Last month they gave the supervisor slot to a guy who's been here 6 months just because he's friends with the manager. I had to train him on the system like two weeks before the announcement. Anyone else have a boss who plays favorites like that?

Man, been there. I had the same thing happen at my old warehouse job, skipped over for a guy who played golf with the district manager. What worked for me was I started documenting everything I did and all the training I gave people. Then I quietly started looking for another job and found one that paid 20% more. Sometimes the best way to win is to take your skills somewhere they'll actually be respected. Don't waste your time trying to change a system that's broken.
