Squidbillies got pulled in 2021 and I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out which episode actually did it
So back in 2021 I noticed Squidbillies was gone from streaming and I figured it was the usual licensing stuff. Then I spent almost two weeks digging through old forum posts and news articles trying to nail down the real reason, and it kept coming back to one thing. The show got canned right after Early Cuyler's voice actor, Unknown Hinson, went on a rant about trans people and the NFL. Some folks say Adult Swim killed the whole show because of that, since they couldn't really fire him without killing the character. Others say the show was already winding down anyway and the timing was just a coincidence. I still can't decide which side I buy, and the 12th season never even got a proper home release here. Did anyone else follow this one when it happened, or am I the only one who went down that rabbit hole?
