Vent: spent 4 years pitching my tent the hard way because I never read the tag
Bought a cheap 2 person dome tent at a garage sale in Boise back in 2019 and fought with it every single trip, always wrestling the poles through the sleeve on my knees in the dirt. Last month a guy camping two spots over watched me struggle for ten minutes and asked if I knew the poles clip on the outside now. I looked and there they were, plastic clips running down the whole seam, and I had been shoving them through the old sleeve channel like an idiot. Setup went from about 12 minutes of swearing to under 3, and I felt like a complete fool standing there with my coffee. Has anyone else owned gear for years without knowing a basic thing about it?
