My sleeping pad kept losing air until I spotted the tiny hole
I woke up on the ground a few times because my pad would go flat by morning. I finally found the leak by submerging it in a tub and saw bubbles from a pinprick near the valve. How do you usually check for leaks in your inflatable gear?

Soapy water seems messy and you risk getting suds inside the valve. I just inflate the pad fully, put my ear close to it, and listen for a faint hiss while running my hand over the surface to feel for air. It's a quieter method that doesn't leave any residue.

Check the valve first, leaks often start there.

My buddy found his leak by spraying soapy water on the pad and seeing where it bubbled.
