My claims adjuster said 'most people just take the first offer' and now I can't get it out of my head
I was on the phone with my claims adjuster last Tuesday about my back injury from a warehouse job in Fresno, and she mentioned that most people settle for the first offer without pushing back. On one hand, I get it, you're hurt, you're behind on bills, and fighting for more feels risky. On the other hand, a guy at my PT clinic said he got an extra $14k just by getting a second opinion on his rating. Where do you all land on this, is it worth the fight or do you just take what they hand you?
