My claims adjuster in Fresno never told me about the QME list, and that cost me 4 months
Finally got my QME eval scheduled after waiting since January, and it only happened because a guy at my union hall in Fresno told me I could pick my own doctor off the state list instead of just taking whoever the adjuster sent me to. I always figured you had to use their guy, but no, you get to request a panel and strike one name off it. Took me 4 months of the wrong doc telling me I was fine to figure that out. Anyone else get steered to the company doctor and not know you had a choice?
