Fished a coax through a wall for an hour before noticing an open crawlspace 3 feet away.

I was in a basement in Akron last Tuesday fighting with a fish tape when the homeowner walked in and pointed at the drop ceiling panel I'd been standing under the whole time. Anyone else ever wasted a job just because you didn't look up first?

Wait, isn't Akron in Ohio? Pretty sure that's where the Rubber Bowl used to be. Tbh though, I feel your pain on the fish tape struggle. Ngl, I've done the same thing staring at a 2x4 for ten minutes before realizing there was a perfectly good hole I already drilled right next to it. Honestly it's like the universe wants us to look like idiots sometimes. You'd think after the third time you'd learn to check every possible opening first but nope, we just keep staring at the same wall like it's gonna answer us.

Laura, that's the fifth time I've read your post and I'm still stuck on the Rubber Bowl thing. Did you actually go to a game there back in the day, or is that just a random fact you picked up somewhere? I'm genuinely curious because I feel like half the time people mention Akron they're just guessing based on some old memory.
