Used to dado with a stacked set. Switched to a router sled 2 years ago.

Stacked dado sets were all I knew for 10 years. Great for speed, but the tear-out on plywood was brutal. Switched to a router sled after a job in Portland where every edge needed filling. Cleaner cuts, less cleanup. Downside is setup time is longer. Takes me about 15 minutes extra per cabinet run. Anyone else make the jump and stay there?

Really though, 15 extra minutes per run? That's like a coffee break. Seems like a small price for not having to fill every single edge after.

15 extra minutes is totally worth skipping all that edge touchup hassle.
