oh man that's infuriating lol. same thing happened to me with a lumber yard near me, they were selling birch as maple for like 3 years before someone finally caught it. i still double check every single board i buy from them now.

@the_piper totally get it lol. same thing happened to me with a local place that sold me what they said was walnut but it turned out to be stained poplar or something cheap. i was so mad i almost stopped going there completely. now i bring a little notebook and write down every board's details before i buy anything lol. it's such a pain but it saves me from getting ripped off again. trust is hard to rebuild after that kind of thing.
