Dismissed Blum soft-close as overpriced hype, but after installing a full kitchen I get it now
I figured my old cam hinges were fine until I fitted 12 cabinets with their Tandem slides and heard the difference - that butter smooth close is no joke. Has anyone else here made the switch and noticed a real change in how the customers react?

Oh that's so true! It's like the compliments are more about how they feel in the space than the actual hardware. I love that the quiet stuff is what really makes an impression.

Funny enough I just had a client rave about her new cabinets and I barely noticed the difference at first.

You barely noticed the difference" is actually the whole point with good cabinets. People think you want something that screams "look at me" but really the best stuff just makes the room feel calmer and more put together. It's the little things like how the doors don't sag after a month or how the drawers close silently. A raving client probably couldn't tell you what specifically changed either, they just feel better being in the kitchen. That's the sign of proper materials and build quality, not flash.
