Chose a 3hp shaper over a used SawStop for my shop in Boise, and I'm still second guessing it
Back in 2019 I had about $2,800 saved up and it came down to a new 3hp shaper or a used SawStop cabinet saw I found on Craigslist in Boise, and I went with the shaper since so much of my work is raised panel doors. The shaper has run great and paid for itself on a kitchen job in Meridian, but I still think about the safety side every time I rip a long board on my old Delta. Curious what you all would have picked in that spot, the safety upgrade or the machine that speeds up the door work?
