Shoutout to the $4 cast iron scraper that outlasted my $60 nonstick pans
Bought a cheap cast iron scraper at a hardware store in Tulsa about 3 years ago, mostly because I felt bad for the guy working the register who looked bored out of his mind. I figured it would last a couple months and end up in the junk drawer with everything else. Turns out I use it almost every single day, scraping the flat top, cleaning grill grates, even popping stuck lids off jars when my hands are greasy. The nonstick pans I paid $60 each for started flaking apart after maybe a year of normal use, but this little piece of metal still looks brand new. Anyone else got a cheap tool that quietly beat out the fancy stuff you spent real money on?
