Tried QuickBooks vs FreshBooks for 3 months straight with my landscaping crew

FreshBooks won because my guys could actually log their hours from the field on their phones without calling me twice a day to fix it, has anyone else found a simpler way to track time for hourly workers?

Did you try something like TSheets or Homebase before switching to FreshBooks? I read a post a while back where someone said their crew just clocks in with a QR code on the job site, no app or login needed. That seemed way simpler than handing out logins and chasing down missing hours. Might be worth looking into if you ever have guys who aren't great with tech.

Man I dunno if it's really that deep. QR code or no QR code, you still gotta trust your guys to clock in when they actually show up. We tried one of those fancy apps and half my crew forgot to clock out half the time anyway. ended up just keeping a paper log on site and texting me the hours. Feels like people overthink this stuff sometimes, @victorb74. If a guy's gonna screw you on time, he'll find a way with or without a QR code.
