Just realized my pottery class is a crash course in customer feedback

I've been taking a pottery class for the past few months, and it hit me last week. Every time I throw a pot, the instructor comes over and points out flaws I didn't see. At first, I hated it, felt like criticism. But then I noticed my pieces were getting better, more balanced. It made me think about my coffee shop and how I handle customer complaints. I used to brush them off, but now I see each one as a chance to improve the product. Just like with clay, feedback shapes the final outcome. It's not personal, it's practical. And that mindset shift has actually boosted my sales because people feel heard.

Taking feedback seriously can transform your work, just like in pottery! It turns complaints into clear steps for making your product or service stronger. That mindset change not only fixes issues but also builds trust with customers!

Doubt that every piece of feedback needs such deep attention. Many complaints are just personal taste and not actual flaws. Overreacting can waste your time and confuse your real goals.

Exactly, it's like people forget how to tell the difference between a real problem and just not liking something. I see this everywhere now, not just with feedback. Someone's personal preference gets treated like a universal truth, and then everyone starts overthinking everything. It makes it impossible to actually get anything done because you're too busy trying to please every single taste. You end up with a bland, confused mess that pleases no one.
