Bought a pressure washing rig 4 months ago, and I just found out my old boss was underbidding jobs to keep me busy
I left my job at a commercial cleaning company here in Wichita back in April and used $3,200 of my savings to buy a used pressure washing setup. My old boss called me two weeks ago asking if I wanted to come back, and when I said no, he got quiet and admitted he had been pricing jobs at cost for my whole first year just to keep me on the crew. He said he figured I would quit if there was not enough work, so he ate the loss on about 40 jobs to keep me paid. I did not know whether to be grateful or mad, since I spent that whole time thinking I was worth what he charged. Any other owners here ever find out someone was quietly covering for them like that?
