Vent: The phone message that ended a 12 year friendship
My old buddy Rick left a voicemail in 2019 saying he couldn't make my dad's funeral because he had a golf outing. I didn't call him back, and that was that. Has anyone else cut someone off over a single tone-deaf message, or am I just holding a grudge?

Whoa, that's brutal. My friend Dave had a guy he'd known since grade school bail on his wedding because he "forgot" and booked a fishing trip that same weekend. He didn't even say sorry, just texted a thumbs up emoji when Dave called him out. Dave never spoke to him again, and honestly? I don't blame him one bit. Some things you just can't come back from, and a golf game is a pretty clear sign of where you stand.
