My monthly spread was a lie for 2 years, found out at a coffee shop in Portland
I used to plan out every single day of the month in advance, like a full calendar page with tiny boxes. Took me forever every Sunday night. Then last month I was sitting at a cafe in Portland and the guy next to me had a bullet journal open to just two pages: a simple list of tasks and a habit tracker. I asked him about it and he said he only writes things down the morning of. Blew my mind. I was basically making a calendar app on paper, not a journal. Has anyone else realized they were overcomplicating their monthly setup for way too long?

DUDE. WAIT. You were filling in every single day ahead of time?? For TWO YEARS?? That is actual insanity to me lol. I get anxiety just thinking about how much time you spent on that every Sunday. Honestly the whole point of a monthly spread is to have a rough map, not to predict your entire life down to the hour. That guy at the coffee shop is living in 2030 or something, writing stuff down the morning of feels way more real. I bet half of what you planned back then never even happened anyway.
