That moisture meter gave me false readings for 3 straight weeks

Checked my foundation pour with it in Austin and the readings said 12% when the slab was wetter than a sponge, had to jackhammer out 900 square feet last Saturday, anyone else had a meter die on them mid-job?

Swapped mine out for a cheap pin type after my digital one kept lying to me on a deck rebuild. The pins actually made contact with the wood instead of just guessing from the surface. Calibrated it against a known dry piece first, then checked the wet spots twice to make sure it was reading the same. Saved my ass before I poured anything that wouldve cracked later. If your meter is acting weird, grab a second one and compare readings before you trust it on something big.
