I was wrong about cheap circular saw blades - $18 blade burned me bad

Spent $18 on a no-name blade at Home Depot last week to save a few bucks and it warped halfway through cutting some 2x6s for a deck frame. Got a Diablo blade for $32 after that and it cut straight through the rest no problem - anyone else learn this lesson the hard way or still think cheap blades work fine?

Used to swear by cheap blades myself but that first warped cut changed my whole mind.

Did I ever try to save money by clamping a warped blade back to straight with a pair of pliers and a prayer? Yeah, I've been that guy. The blade actually threw a chunk of tooth into my garage wall, which taught me that $18 is just the cost of admission to learn why real blades cost more. Guess my cheap blade wanted to be a circular saw more than I did.
