Hit my 50th build in the forum log and learned why my first 20 failed

I started keeping a build log on here back in January and just posted entry 50. Looking back, 18 of my first 20 builds failed for the same dumb reason: I never checked the fit before gluing. I was so eager to see the finished thing that I skipped dry fitting, which cost me maybe $200 in wasted material over those months. Now I clamp everything up first, and my fail rate is down to 2 out of 30. Does anyone else log their builds, or am I just overdoing it?
