Spent $12 on a universal sink stopper and it saved my trip to Lisbon

Stayed in this super cheap Airbnb last month, but the bathroom sink had no plug at all. Couldn't even wash my face properly. Grabbed a cheap rubber universal stopper from a local shop, and it was a total game changer for basic hygiene. Anyone else have a tiny, cheap buy that made a huge difference in a budget spot?

That travel blog said to pack a wine cork instead.

Seriously, a wine cork? That seems like a weird thing to pack on purpose. What if it gets all crumbly in your bag? Shane's got the right idea with the universal stopper. It's made for the job and actually works. Why try a hack that might fail when you can just get the real thing for a couple bucks?

Universal sink stoppers are a travel hack people never talk about. They weigh nothing and fix a problem you don't realize is a problem until you're stuck with it. That little rubber disc is pure freedom.
