Pro tip: I budgeted $12 for a haircut and the clippers died halfway through my own head
Last Saturday I was in my bathroom at 7pm with a $12 pair of clippers from Walmart, mid cut, and the blade just stopped. Half my head was buzzed to a 1 and the other half was still a full mop, and my kid's birthday party was the next morning. I panicked, drove to the 24 hour store, and dropped $40 on a better set, which blew my whole grooming budget for the next two months. Side A says buy cheap and replace when it breaks. Side B says spend once and never think about it again. I'm honestly torn because that $40 set has already outlasted three of the cheap ones. Where do you all draw the line on tools you use on yourself?
