Spent 90 minutes trying to get split peas to soften... they were 3 years old
Pulled a bag of split peas from the back of my pantry last night. Thought they'd be fine since they were sealed. After boiling for over an hour they were still like little rocks. Checked the expiration date - 2021. Who knew dried legumes could go that hard? Anyone else have pantry staples that just refuse to cooperate?
