My sister's bulk rice advice almost cost me dinner twice
My sister told me to buy a 25 pound bag of rice from the Asian market to save money. I did it, cooked a batch for my family, and it came out mushy and gross. She said I needed to rinse it until the water ran clear, but I skipped that part. Tried it again with a cheap strainer from the dollar store, and it came out perfect. Has anyone else been handed advice that sounded too simple but actually mattered this much?
