Unpopular opinion: my $9 rice cooker from the thrift store on 4th Street outlasted the $80 one
I grabbed a used rice cooker for $9 at a thrift shop on 4th Street about 8 months back, mostly as a joke, and it has cooked perfect rice every single time while the fancy $80 one I got as a gift died in 3 months. The cheap one has one switch, no timer, no settings, and it just works. I started wondering if I've been paying extra for buttons I never touch, and honestly half my kitchen stuff might be overpriced junk. What's the cheapest thing you own that refuses to quit on you?
