Unpopular opinion: handwritten to-do lists beat apps for staying on track

I used Trello and Todoist for six months last year trying to get my tasks organized. Last week I switched back to a simple notebook and a pen. The difference is that typing a task feels like I can ignore it later, but writing it down forces me to actually think about it. Has anyone else found paper works better than digital tools for getting stuff done?

Honestly though, writing a task down doesn't really force you to do it any more than typing does.

Oh yeah, because the REAL magic happens when you use a PEN instead of a keyboard. That ink must have some special productivity superpowers or something. Next time I'll just write my to-do list on my hand with a Sharpie, that'll FORCE me to do the dishes for sure. The ritual of writing is nice and all but it doesn't change the fact that you still have to actually get up and do the boring stuff.
