The 2 a.m. mirror lie that ended my self-deception streak
I spent 6 years telling myself my anger was justified, that I was just 'passionate' about my opinions. Then last Tuesday, I caught my own reflection mid-argument with nobody, red face, finger pointing at the empty couch. That was the moment I realized I wasn't debating, I was just performing for an audience of one. Which side do you lean toward: the version of you that shows up in public, or the one that shows up when you're alone with your own worst takes? Has anyone else had that gut check where you finally had to admit you were the toxic one in the room?
