Mandatory office parties feel like a chore, not a perk.

We have to go to company parties every quarter. I find they don't help team bonding and just add to my stress. Do others see value in these events, or am I alone in this view?

Honestly, that "hide by the snacks" line hits way too close to home. Tbh, I basically set up camp by the chip bowl at every gathering to dodge awkward chats. Last weekend I was hovering near the guac so long my friend thought I was on snack security duty. Ngl, my life is just a series of strategic positions near free food.
