Hit 1,000 hours of guitar practice last week and still suck

I tracked every minute for 8 months and hit 1,000 hours, but I still can't play a clean barre chord or solo without mistakes. Is it just me, or does raw practice time get overhyped when natural talent or proper technique matters way more?

Man, you're overthinking this. 1000 hours is barely scratching the surface if you've been drilling bad habits or just noodling around instead of actually working on technique.

Whoa, I gotta push back a little on that. I mean yeah, bad habits are a thing, but 1000 hours of focused practice can still build solid foundation if you're paying attention. Isn't the real problem just people not being honest with themselves about what they're actually working on?
