Question about the guy who stood in the produce aisle yelling at oranges for 10 minutes
Last Thursday at the Kroger in Roanoke I watched this middle aged dude in a suit absolutely berate a stack of navel oranges about their inconsistent texture, and then he calmly bought a bag of apples like nothing happened, which got me wondering if we're all one bad day away from treating inanimate objects like coworkers, so has anyone else seen someone snap at something totally neutral and quietly question if they were the sane one?
The part that gets me is him buying apples right after. Like he had a whole beef with oranges and just moved on to their cousins without missing a beat. I saw a lady do this to a parking meter once, called it a liar and everything, then just walked off happy. Maybe we all just need a target for the stuff we can't say to actual people. At least the oranges can't talk back.
