Update: 20 years of laying block and I finally stopped wetting the brick the day before
A guy on a job in Amarillo watched me soak a pallet Friday for a Monday start and said the mortar bonds better if you wet them the morning of, not 2 days out. Did it on the next 3 walls and the joints set up smoother, anyone else switch to same day wetting?
