Guy on my crew said laying block is a dying art, and I keep thinking about it
Had a young guy helping me on a foundation job in Gary last month. He watched me set up a line and check my corners and said nobody teaches that stuff anymore. Said his vo-tech class spent two days on block work and the rest of the time on framing. I've been laying block for 19 years and it got me thinking about who is going to do this when I'm done. Any of you seeing schools actually teach this, or is everyone just learning on the job like I did?
