That one Tuesday when all my cuttings finally rooted

I had been waiting on some monstera cuttings I took back in February to show roots, and for weeks nothing happened. Then last Tuesday I checked them and every single one had at least 2 inches of roots growing. The water was still clear and I hadn't changed it in 4 days, which I usually do every 3 days. Has anyone else had a moment where everything just clicked at once with their propagation?

Used to think water changes stressed cuttings out more than they helped. I was always switching it out every other day like clockwork. Then I got lazy one week and left them alone, and that's when everything took off. Made me realize I was probably messing with them too much and they just needed to settle in. Now I barely touch the water unless it gets cloudy.

@jamie_smith that's actually wild to hear because I was doing the exact same thing, changing water every 2 days like clockwork and got nothing for months. What kind of cuttings were you working with when you got lazy and they took off? I'm wondering if different plants respond differently cause my monsteras clearly hated being fussed over but my pothos props seem to root faster with fresh water every time. Gotta ask, did you notice any difference in how the roots looked between your old method and the lazy one?
