Pro tip: boss told me to stop writing down every reading and just watch the gauges, and my callback rate went to zero
He saw me logging pressures and temps 4 times a call and said I was hiding behind the clipboard instead of listening to the system. Cut it to one set of numbers at the end and stopped chasing my own notes, but I still wonder if I just got lucky on those 12 jobs in a row.

stopped chasing my own notes" hits home. Same thing happens with cooking, the more I stare at the recipe the worse the food turns out. Once you know what you're looking at, watching beats writing.
