My old manager in Denver ripped apart my shift handoff notes and honestly she was right
She quoted one of my notes back to me, "pt stable, will monitor," and asked what a nurse coming on at 7am was supposed to do with that, so now I write the actual numbers, the actual time, and what I want done next, and handoffs got way faster. Has anyone else had a boss give feedback that stung but actually fixed something?
