I saw a listing on a forum for a 'rare widescreen VHS rip' of The Terminator and the guy wanted $45 plus shipping from Canada. He said it was from a private collection and had 'better colors than the DVD'. What I got was a blurry, shaking recording of someone pointing a camcorder at their TV while the movie played, complete with their dog barking in the background and a channel logo in the corner. I tried to get a refund but he blocked me, so I'm out the money and now I double check every rip by asking for a sample clip first. Has anyone else gotten burned by a 'private collection' seller on these forums?
