Found a VHS at a Goodwill in Reno with an alternate ending to The Shining
Popped it in and the last 10 minutes are totally different, Jack actually walks out of the maze and hugs Danny. Has anyone else stumbled on a tape like this or know if it's a known bootleg?

That has to be a weird feeling, sitting there expecting the maze scene and getting a hug instead. I have heard of bootleg tapes like that floating around, usually from old rental stores that taped stuff off TV or from private collections. Some of those alt cuts are real too, like workprints that leaked out before the studio locked the final version. There was a guy on a forum years back who found a copy of Blade Runner with the voiceover missing and a different final shot, so tapes like yours do turn up.
