PSA: Our bindery is split on hiring apprentices versus experienced workers.

Some think training fresh talent builds loyalty and fresh ideas. Others say hiring skilled hands gets projects done faster with less oversight. What's your view on this?

Read an article that said the best shops mix both strategies. You get the steady output from experienced people and the new energy from trainees. Sticking to just one side seems like it would limit growth long term.

That split on hiring reminds me of how people handle car repairs. Some always pay a pro for the guaranteed fix, while others try learning oil changes themselves to save money long-term. You probably need a mix of both to really keep things moving.
