Oh man, been there. What saved me was keeping the book on my phone so I could search it real quick when stuff didn't add up. Turns out the guy flat out says his plan in chapter six and I just blew right past it. Now I reread the last few pages before every meeting, takes ten minutes and saves me from looking like a fool. Anyway you're not alone, our whole group does this at least once a season.
