Took the 4 pounder over the 8 pounder for that tie-in weld, zero regrets
Had to decide between a 4 lb and 8 lb hammer for a tight spot on a header replacement down in Gary. The 8 lb felt safe but the swing clearance was garbage, so I went light and used a drift pin to finish. Took about 20 extra taps but I didn't blow out my shoulder or ding the pipe. Anyone else run into a spot where lighter gear just made more sense, or am I the only one?
Tried the same thing last month swapping out a floor flange, grabbed the baby sledge and ended up using a scrap piece of rebar as a pry. Worked out fine but my knuckles still remember it.
