Offered a foreman spot but hesitant to leave the tools behind

I've spent a long time doing the actual work, and now I'm offered a foreman job. I'm worried I'll miss the day-to-day welding and fitting.

Wait what?? You'd go from welding all day to just talking about welding all day? That's a huge switch man, I'd go crazy not having something in my hands.

Met a welder who switched to teaching last year. He kept a small torch in his desk just to fidget with during talks. @elliotpalmer, guess some habits die hard!
