Last Friday my Gloomhaven party fell apart mid-scenario
We were three rounds into a tough scenario at my buddy Dave's basement. His dog started barking nonstop at the doorbell. Turns out his girlfriend came home early with three of her friends. They wanted to hang out right then. Dave just froze up, didn't know what to do. I offered to pack up my stuff and leave. Two of the other guys got annoyed and said we never finish anything. We ended up calling it quits at round 4 with no resolution. Has anyone else dealt with a game night blowing up because of unexpected guests?

Wait, are you guys really that quick to bail on a session just because someone's girlfriend and her friends show up? I mean, it's your buddy Dave's place, right? His girlfriend lives there too (I assume), so it's not like some random person crashed the party. Couldn't you have just paused the game for a bit while Dave figured out what everyone wanted to do, then maybe resumed later or set a time to finish another day? It sounds like the other two guys were frustrated because this happens a lot with you guys, so maybe the real issue isn't the unexpected guests but that nobody wants to commit to finishing things. I get that it's annoying, but I feel like there's always a way to save the game night if people are flexible enough.
