Vent: my uncle said my side hustle was a waste of money, then he saw my spreadsheet
My uncle came over 3 weeks ago and saw me packing up orders at my kitchen table, and he flat out said nobody makes real money doing that. I pulled up my sheet and showed him I cleared $1,140 last month off 62 sales, and he just went quiet and left. So here is my question: when someone dismisses your thing to your face, do you prove them wrong with numbers or just let it go?
$1,140 off 62 sales works out to about $18 a sale, which tells me you are not just clearing out junk from your closet. What is the actual product, and how many hours a week are you putting in to hit those numbers? Because if it is 40 hours for $1,140, your uncle might have a small point, but if it is 10 hours he is just wrong.
