Rant: a guy in line at a Chicago comic shop told me collecting single issues is dead
Last Saturday at a shop on Clark Street, a guy watched me buy a stack of single issues and told me I was wasting cash because everything ends up in a trade paperback anyway. I said single issues are the only way to read a run as it drops and support shops, and he laughed and said trades are cheaper and always will be. Is he right, or does buying singles still make sense to you?
