Hit my 40th flight of the year and realized I've seen more airports than my own kitchen
I was sitting in the Charlotte terminal last night waiting for a delayed connection and it just hit me. Number 40. That's almost a flight a week. My apartment has a weird smell I haven't had time to figure out, my plants are dead, and I know the Starbucks layout at O'Hare better than my own grocery store. Is this just what happens when you travel that much or am I doing something wrong?

@phoenix29 man 12 flights is still a lot, don't sell yourself short. But 40 is a whole different beast. I hit 38 last year and I remember coming home and standing in my kitchen for a solid minute trying to remember where I kept the coffee mugs. It's like your brain just stops keeping track of your actual home because you're never there long enough for it to matter. The dead plants thing hit me hard too, I had a whole collection of succulents that I think died from neglect in like three weeks flat. I started leaving a sticky note on my door with the date I last slept in my own bed, just so I could remind myself that yes, I actually live here and not in seat 14B.
