Turned down a promotion to stay in my current role
I had to pick between a team lead spot with $8k more a year or staying where I know the ropes and have good hours. I picked staying because the lead job meant 50 hour weeks and managing two people who already hate each other. Three months later the guy who took it quit, so I'm feeling okay about it. Has anyone else turned down money for sanity and not regretted it?
