Can we talk about how nobody told me moving to a town of 900 people would be this lonely
I moved from Sacramento to a farm town in Nebraska 8 months ago for a job and everyone said small towns are so friendly, but I've said maybe 20 words to my neighbors since April. The popular take is that big cities are cold and small towns are warm, and I think that's just wrong, people here already have their people and don't need new ones. Did anyone else move somewhere smaller and find the opposite of what they promised?
