That week I had 4 seized seatposts in a row almost made me quit
Last month I had three days straight where every bike that came in had a seatpost stuck so bad I thought about just setting the frame on fire lol. The worst was a 90s Trek 520 where I snapped two different extractors before I finally drilled it out and reamed the tube. Has anyone else had a run of bad luck like that where you question your whole career choice for a second?

Wait is this real? I used to think people were just being dramatic about seized seatposts but after my run last spring I totally get it now. I had a 80s Miyata where the post was so fused I literally spent 4 hours with a torch and a slide hammer before giving up and cutting the frame down to single speed bars. That week I questioned everything too, like am I really cut out for this if I cant even remove a stupid piece of aluminum. The 520 story scares me because those are such solid bikes and ruining one is a nightmare. Honestly its the kind of thing that makes you appreciate the simple jobs way more after.
